Dynamic Machines Community Render Challenge (Top 100 submission)

My submission to the "Dynamic Machines" render challenge hosted by Youtube creator Pwnisher. My submission made it into the top 100 montage.
Rendered in Blender Cycles.
Sound design and compositing done in DaVinci Resolve.
The main subject here is the Strandbeest walker machine (design by Theo Jansen) which I modelled, textured and rigged in Blender. I also incorporated a mannequin model which I made for a different personal project.
There is a little wooden house sculpture as well which I made in real life and photoscanned (also for a different project) and finally a sketch of a moving colony on the side wall (yet again, from a different project series I'm working on). One could call this render a dump of easter eggs of various projects I've worked on.
If you look closely, there are design notes pinned on the back wall of the mannequin, the walker machine and another machine not shown in the render. That combined with the hatch marks on the wall imply a story of a tinkerer who created the mannequin and brought it to life. But then something happened that trapped the mannequin inside this box. On the floor we see a few wooden blocks, some with symbols on them. This is another easter egg for the original project the mannequin was a part of.
I enjoy leaving these little clues and easter eggs in projects like this that add more of a story to the visuals.
